ADULT EDUCATION - TO BE A CHRISTIAN: AN ANGLICAN CATECHISM
"To Be a Christian." What does that mean? Our Bible study beginning September 8 at 9:15 will be a catechism for all comers to ground believers more deeply in our understanding of our faith. Please come and invite a friend to join you. (We have books for purchasing.)
WOMEN'S DEVOTIONAL - 1st Saturday each month
For 2024-2025 we will be using the Devotional Studies, As A Little Child, by Deaconess Barbara West. If you are not a member of our church, call the office the week before in case we have had to change the date.
ON A MISSION ANNUAL CRAFT FAIR
We want to increase awareness and support of missions. We are seeking churches and organizations to participate by either selling craft items made on the mission field or food or other craft items that your church would sell to support your own mission projects. EASTER SUNDAY
The Easter Service on Sunday, April 9, at 10:15 a.m. celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and His triumph over sin and death includes Holy Communion.
Kids: Join us for St. Paul’s Easter Egg Hunt after the service! Please b.y.o.b. (Bring Your Own Basket) Snacks will be provided.
GOOD FRIDAY
The Good Friday Service April 7 begins at noon and includes the 14 Stations of the Cross. The somber service, sometimes referred to as the Way of the Cross, focuses on the path Jesus took from His appearance before Pilate through His crucifixion and placement in the tomb.
MAUNDY THURSDAY
Holy Week services at St. Paul’s Anglican Church begin with a Maundy Thursday service, Thursday, April 6 at 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday marks the night of the last supper of Christ before His crucifixion.

Service with the imposition of ashes. Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten season, a time of fasting and repentance. Lent reflects the 40 days Jesus spent in the desert in prayer and fasting before beginning his public ministry.

PANCAKE SUPPER
We will hold a Shrove Tuesday pancake supper with sausage. The supper is open to the public free of charge. Traditionally, pancakes were served prior to the beginning of Lent when eggs and fats were forbidden.
ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
There will be NO 8 a.m. service today in hopes that ALL parishioners will be able to attend. We will have a Potluck before the meeting.
EPISCOPAL VISIT
The Right Reverend Walter Banek, the Suffragan Bishop of our diocese, will be preaching at our 10:15 service. (There will be no 8 a.m. service.)
Bible Study - The Acts of the Apostles
The Acts of the Apostles adult study begins Sunday Oct. 8 at 9:15, taught by Fr. Fowler. Acts is the only book in the New Testament that tells the ministry of the apostles, with a focus on Peter and Paul. Acts is a witness story and an adventure story, complete with imprisonments, riots, narrow escapes, shipwrecks, and dramatic rescues. Come join us!
“Finding Restoration in the Redeemer”
A study from the Book of Ruth, will be the topic of this year’s women’s devotional group, which begins Saturday, October 7, at 11:30 a.m., and generally meets the first Saturday each month. (Call Tuesday during the morning to verify.) The focus will be on Naomi, her faithfulness and her restoration in the face of suffering shows us each of us has a part to play in building the kingdom. We will share our insights on chapter 1, “Response to Hard Times.” The devotional was written by the REC's Deaconess Teresa Johnson.
